The Clayton Home’s History
The “Clayton House” is a classic 1850’s antebellum home that served as the residence of William Henry Harrison Clayton, who served as the prosecuting district attorney for the Federal court of the western district of Arkansas in “Hanging” Judge Parker’s Fort Smith courtroom from 1874 until 1897.
