Good beer, good pubs and their own brewers has long marked the Isle of Wight out as a place where drinkers can satisfy their thirst with real ale. Some of the best pubs in the land (many of them award winning) are to be found here, set in picturesque villages and atop cliffs, all of them serving good pub grub as well as beers approved by CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale).
Results of Competition for Best Real Ale
As well as voting for the CAMRA Pub of the Year, the drinkers on the island also vote for the Isle of Wight CAMRA Beer of the Year, brewed by the island's own brewers. In a tough competition the winners were recently chosen, and here are the top ten.
