The singer songwriter's engaging and clearly presented 10 tracks on Many Waters vary from subtle orchestration to earthy, bursts of energy and color encircling the listener. Cloud's prose and point of view is empowering and thought provoking.
Mesmerizing Piano Work
The title track has a long instrumental opening. A faint, haunting collection of voices gently presses against recorded water pushing against the tide. This is a pretty song and the piano work is mesmerizing. Cloud's voice never stuns--but instead breathes new life into the well-produced track.
Some listeners will be drawn to the lyrics on this track - as throughout Many Waters - and draw comparisons to finding one's way. The words are certainly inspirational. Christian music listeners might appreciate the deep and meaningful lyrics.
