Now that the Summer X Games are going to be in full swing soon, here's a flashback to the recent KIA X Games Asia that returned to Shanghai, China, for the fourth consecutive year at the end of May. The Skateboard and BMX Mini-MegaRamp contests were new this year. Several of the heavy hitters in X Games history competed at the 12th annual event and nearly 200 athletes from over 30 countries competed in the Skateboard, BMX and Aggressive In-Line Skate, as well as Moto X Big Air demonstrations.

Aggressive Inline Street

Finishing up in first was U.S. pro Brian Aragon, snagging the gold, followed by fellow U.S. skater Jeff Stockwell in second place with the silver. Aragon won with a narrow one-point victory over Jeff Stockwell with a performance highlighted by clean, fearless skating that included a 540 soiale that iced his victory. Hung Chien-Kai of Chinese Taipei was the best Asian AIL street skater this year getting the bronze.

BMX Mini-MegaRamp

New to X Games, Mini-Mega is a scaled down version of Big Air. There were major players among the riders, but it was Australia 's Vince Byron who killed it. He laid down huge 540 tailwhips in the quarterpipe and 720s throughout the jam format, winning his first gold medal. Kevin Robinson got the silver, leaving fellow American Austin Coleman the bronze.
