After trading Allen Iverson near last February's trade deadline, many didn't expect the Philadelphia 76ers to be as competitive as they were. Though they missed the playoffs, they finished with a record of 35-47, which was good enough for third in the Atlantic Division. Andre Iguodala (the new 'A.I.') emerged as the team's best player and future, while point guard Andre Miller, who was the key player in the Iverson deal, proved to be a good fit for the young team.

The Sixers are expected to surprise again in 2007-2008. They have a lot of young talent and are very athletic. Andre Miller has plenty of options to pass to on the break, from Iguodala and Rodney Carney to Louis Williams and rookie Thaddeus Young. At the very least, this team will be fun to watch at times.

Many expect Williams to emerge as the second coming of Allen Iverson. Though the comparisons are hardly fair, the 6-1 Williams did impress in summer league games, averaging a league-leading 25.2 ppg, while shooting 49% from the field to go with 5.4 rbpg and 5.0 apg. He is a prolific and athletic scorer who should get more opportunity to shine this season.
